OMG Chrissa's coming out this January! The new Kit Kittredge - An American Girl movie has been released on DVD and it contains the movie trailer for the American Girl of The Year 2009 movie, An American Girl Chrissa Stands Strong. The trailer is in the bonus features.

The movie, which will star Sammi Hanratty, is scheduled to be released January 6, 2009. If you can’t wait to see it on your own Kit DVD, someone has posted the Chrissa trailer on YouTube

Will Chrissa have a best friend doll? There's rumors going around that Chrissa will be the first GOTY to have a friend doll! Exciting right!
Omg look what I just heard about Chrissa, Chrissa will have blue eyes and short brown hair. She will be released with two best friend dolls, one a blonde girl named Lanie and an Indian girl named Sonali. Two bff dolls, that's a first, how cool! Looks like Mary Casanova is writing this years book again. She had written Jess's book, which I have to say was definatly my favorite. I'm excited this is going ot be a good book! Tips and Help for Dolls

How to wash your dolls hair. Well I've been asked this question many times and the truth is YOU CAN WASH YOUR DOLLS HAIR! Why spend so much money at the doll hospital when you can do it yourself? To everyone who says you don't or they wouldn't reccomend it they are actually wrong and in an American Girl Doll Spa book it explains how, here are the steps:
1:Get out some mild shampoo, two towels:one small, one big, any doll clothing or a robe.
2:undress doll, and wrap a towel around her soft part of her body.
3:lay your doll on a counter by the sink with her face side up and back to the counter, this way any water that gets in her eyes will drain out so they won't rust.
4:get your dolls hair slightly wet and take out a MILD shampoo, rub the shampoo throught her hair, not very deep though!
5:let it set in for a couple seconds and then wash it out throughly.
6:wrap a smaller towel around her hair for five minutes, you may dress her or I'd reccomend put a robe on her.
7:after five minutes, take off the towel and brush through your doll's hair, then let it dry naturally. WARNING-DO NOT USE A HAIR DRYER WILL MELT HEAD!
I did this with my old 2003 doll of the year: Kailey and now her hair looks like it's new, Good luck!

This is the only site with a picture of the new doll Ruthie! Remember you heard it here first so tell all your friends, and please become a FREE member. These are the lastest pictures of Ruthie! Not only that, but I have heard of new products being released with the movie, some are, a tree house, a new floral dress for Kit, a play dress for Ruthie, and new pjs for both Kit and Ruthie. Now, of course there is new furniture too! That includes a Kitchen set and laundry set! It will be like a real home! Keep your eyes open and keep coming on to see new info and stuff. Be ready for June 1st that's when ruthie will finally be out!

Ruthie Coming Out in May

I have now heard from a few unofficial sources that the new American Girl Ruthie doll will be coming out in May. Ruthie, who is being released as Kit’s best friend, has been reported to be coming out May 1st. I am trying to get an official confirmation of this and will update once I hear back from an official source.
One thing I did notice is that the Really Truly Ruthie (American Girls Collection) listing on Amazon no longer says it will be released in June - it has no date on the product page and just says it is available for pre-order now. Barnes and Noble and the American Girl publications site list the release date as May 19.
The pre-movie buzz for the Kit Kittredge movie this summer will be starting soon and I am sure the release of the Ruthie doll will certainly help kick it off. Thank you to my favorite site doll diaries for this wondeful information!

Ruthie Smithens, Kit Kittredge's best friend, is now part of Kit's six book historical series. Now Ruthie stars in a brand new book of her own.
